Antique cast iron and enamel French duck press Originally invented in the 1800s for an extravagant dish know as Canard à la presse, a dish from Rouen. The restaurant La Tour d'Argent of Paris is famous for the same dish. This is a beautiful piece of cast iron and blue enamel, made in France, and would look fabulous in a farmhouse style kitchen or as a shop or restaurant as a decorative statement piece. Anthony Bourdain called duck presses the most medieval of all kitchen tools. The press is still fully functioning, complete, and turns freely.
